Wasaga Beach
14 km of white sand beach make this the longest freshwater beach in the world! Rated as a world class Blue Flag beach, Wasaga has six beach areas, five for families and the Main Beach right in the middle of the entertainment district. There are watersports rentals, attractions, special events and plenty of shopping. Nancy Island Historic site houses a museum depicting the War of 1812 with the remains of the famous schooner "Nancy" and a lighthouse that provides excellent views of Georgian Bay and nearby islands.

Activities: Special events are hosted on the Main Beach. Beach volleyball - Beach Area 1. Midway in August. Nancy Island has daily children's activities and weekly concerts on Thursday evenings in the summer. In late July it is transformed into Wasaga Under Seige, and 1812 encampment with battles and entertainment.
