The Lighthouse & Marine Heritage Tour will have you exploring more than 50 Georgian Bay, Ontario Lighthouses and Marine Heritage attractions!
Visit 32 lighthouses, including 6 limestone towers, built in the 1850’s, known collectively as the Imperial Towers. Board a glass bottom boat to tour the shipwrecks of the Fathom Five National Marine Park, the first of its kind in Canada. Visit the Nancy Island Historic Site to view the hull of the HMS Nancy Schooner and explore the recreation of a 19th century community complete with replica British sailing ships at Discovery Harbour.
At the end of a day exploring the rich marine heritage of Georgian Bay, relax in a quaint B&B, beautifully appointed Inn, or one of the best hotels or motels that the area has to offer. Sample some local cuisine as you discuss the day’s events, and plan for tomorrow’s adventure!
Please note the accessibility of each of the lighthouses on the tour - some are open to the public, others offer viewing only, and some are accessible by tour boat or private boat only.
