Day 1

Arrive at Killbear Provincial Park (Nobel, Ontario) today, and spend the day exploring this rugged Georgian Bay Wilderness.  Lounge on some of the 3 kilometres of sandy beaches. Hike the trails for a view of windswept pines over Georgian Bay or mountain bike this 30,000 island area park. Please be sure to book you campsite well in advance, as this beautiful wilderness area is a very popular recreational paradise.  If you’re lucky, you may even score a campsite right on a Georgian Bay beach!

Day 2

After breakfast at your campsite, pack a picnic lunch – today you’re kayaking the 30,000 Islands with White Squall, leaders in kayaking on Georgian Bay for over 20 years (please make reservations in advance).  All your gear is included as you paddle your way around the wind swept islands of this UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve.

Day 3

This morning you’re off to Killarney, a picturesque village on the shores of Georgian Bay.  Tonight you can camp in Killarney Provincial Park, (please book early, this popular campground reserves early) or stay in one of the village accommodations.  If you haven’t eaten lunch when you arrive, be sure to visit Herbert Fisheries Mr. Perch, and feast on some fresh Georgian Bay whitefish.  Just locate the red bus on the dock, and you’ve found the place. There’s nothing like it!  Once you’ve explored the village, set up camp and take a short hike, or check in at your accommodation.

Day 4

Today you’re exploring Killarney from the water, with Killarney Mountain Outfitters.  With several options for day and half day adventures, choose from seakayaking, hiking, and canoeing. Paddle by canoe to the trail base, and then climb the La Cloche range to the top of Silver Peak for a bird’s eye view, paddle the crystal clear waters of the park or kayak the shores of Georgian Bay.  Whatever you choose, you’ll have a good chance of spotting some Georgian Bay wildlife today!

Day 5

Today you travel to Manitoulin Island, the world’s largest freshwater island.  Take note as you cross onto the island. You’ll be crossing the oldest swing bridge in North America.  Manituolin Island boasts beautiful backroads, and limited traffic, so take advantage today and set out on a road ride.  Be sure to reserve your spot on the Chi-Cheemaun ferry for the following day before retiring for the night.

Day 6

Take the morning sailing aboard the Chi-Cheemaun today.  Two hours on this passenger car ferry will get you to Tobermory, on the tip of the beautiful Bruce Peninsula.   Once in this picturesque village, enjoy another epic feast of fish and chips at Craigie’s located on the dock in the Little Tub Harbour while you await your afternoon seakayaking trip in Fathom Five National Marine Park.  Thorncrest Outfitters will guide you over the waters of Canada’s first national marine park, highlighting sunken ships just below the surface as you go.  Once back on shore, check in at your accommodation, or set up camp at Bruce Peninsula National Park.

Day 7

On the last day of your epic Georgian Bay tour, start at Bruce Peninsula National Park.  Hike to the grotto, a sea cave carved from years of Georgian Bay wave action.  You’ll want to take a dip in the cool clear Georgian Bay waters and relax on the rock beach, so pack your suit and a snack for when you get there.  Once you’re back on the road, venture down the peninsula, taking time to stop north of Wiarton for one last epic ride before your trip is over.  The Bruce Peninsula Mountain Bike Adventure Park features both single and double track riding and for the adventure rider, it’s full of challenging features both man made and natural.  So push your personal limit riding rock drop-offs, boardwalks and suspension bridges – or just watch as others do!
